Fix lightroom color cast (Yellow, green, blue, etc..)
So you’r working in Lightroom, and when you export to photoshop you get a bad color cast? (Or the other way around, open photoshop psd in lightroom=cast)
In 99% of all cases, this is caused by not having a color managed workflow. Lightroom uses it’s own hermione whatever the hell it’s called color space with settings derived from the windows color profile, and photoshop uses “Adobe RGB 1998″ color space.
The problem here for most users is that Windows uses sRGB by default unless you change it, because Microsoft knows, that most programs are not color managed, and just use whatever windows is set to, so using sRGB as default will result in images saved for web to display correctly.
So under windows, context click on the desktop, select properties menu item, then the settings tab in the dialog box, click the advanced button and then click on the Color Management tab. Now click on add, select the AdobeRGB 1998.icc file, click set as default with the new item selected from the profiles list, click on ok a couple times and restart lightroom.
Voila, the lightroom color cast should now be fixed.
For even better results, get a monitor calibration device, they are getting cheap and you need to calibrate your monitor at least once a month because the colors drifts as the components in your monitor ages.
